Things will change in the future.
Forbes has an article about "junk computer chips"
These students at HP where given a big box of
"junk computer chips". They worked out a program
that used software to get around "hardware" defects
in the chips. Although it is still cheaper for Intel
to junk a Pentium chip that has defects, the article
says in the future, as chips become bigger and bigger,
it may be cheaper for programs to automatically
"go around" hardware defects as they happen.

Sort of like a "living computer machine"

Nothing to do with DRAM, but hopefully you will realize
that things will change in the future !!!!

Very important to investing !
