we export nothing and have an enormous national debt, if I sound like a 3rd world rat hole... you're right, but I'm talking about the US. There is no need for dollars because we won't be selling anything to the rest of the world that is in depression, and there is no reason to own dollars to own our financial assets cause they are falling. Throw in that there are trillion and trillions of dollars floating around the world that will eventually be cashedd in for other currencies and you have a recipe for disaster. Gold is a L-T play from here IMO. Note that the dollar has been dropping steadily since the mkt started really dumping. An important trendline was broken on Mon.
