Unfortunately I have to agree with you.

1.) AWLT seems to be getting involved in too many law suits. I'm sure this sucks down administrative time and money. Not good for a young company.

2.) AWLT should concentrate on growing their core business (and finalizing the Danielle deal). A company aggresively seeking acquisitions with a $0.05 stock price is kind of a joke.

3.) The single thing that will raise the stock price is company information. In my opinion, that is the single largest reason this stock has faultered so. Shareholders and potential shareholders need factual information with sources to justify why they should be investing their money. When that occurs, and the story is real, the share price will move and Araldica can continue a more aggressive acqusition strategy.

All in my opinion, of course.

This is from Wine Investment News Home page.

Some of it has been posted in previous posts here, but now that the news release has been filed, I needed a post for my site as well as for the reporters calling me for comment.

BTW, Wine Business Insider has run a story on the prepaid television time asset and other aspects and the Gannett Westchester newspapers (located in New Rochelle, NY) say they are planning a major piece that is to run sometime over the Labor Day weekend. They can be found by going to nynews.com and clicking on the Westchester icon.

Araldica Threatens Libel Suit
Against Wine Investment News

Accuses WIN of Being in League with Short Sellers.

Araldica Wineries, Ltd. issued a press release on Sept. 2 which
claimed they had retained a law firm with the intention of
filing a lawsuit against WIN.

"Our articles (July 20, 1998 and August 14, 1998) are
accurate, complete and in context," said WIN Editor and
Publisher Lewis Perdue. "They are based on public records
and interviews with multiple, corroborating, named sources
who have first-hand knowledge of the facts. Our stories were
written to withstand any test in a court of law. I do not trade
any securities and have no friends, associates or business
partners with any position in Araldica stock -- short or long.

"Although I have had no indication yet that a lawsuit has been
filed," said Perdue, "we are well represented legally and have
been victorious in our own libel action within the past couple of
years. Indeed, Araldica's statements and those of some of its
supporters on various Internet investment bulletin boards
gives us far more solid grounds for winning -- as opposed to
simply filing or threatening to file a libel suit -- a defamation
lawsuit than Araldica. I am discussing this possible action with
WIN's attorneys

"I am familiar with the libel litigation process," said Perdue,
"and must say that I am looking forward to the legal discovery
process -- either in our suit against Araldica or theirs against
us -- wherein Araldica executives, officers and employees and
others associated with them can be compelled to provide
information under oath which they refused to supply when we
called them for comment on our articles. During this process,
Araldica will discover how completely empty their charges are
against us."

Perdue said the wording of the Araldica public relations
release made it clear that their threat of legal action was
designed to deter WIN from writing future articles or
discussing the matter further. If the suit is actually filed, it
would also probably violate the California legal prohibition
against SLAPPs -- strategic lawsuits against public
participation which would give rise to additional legal action
against Araldica and those associated with it.

"I've been writing investigative articles for 30 years now,"
said Perdue, "and have never let threats deter me from my
work. I will not allow that to happen this time either.

"I am currently working on a third Araldica story and will be
publishing that when it is complete. Because of other writing
deadlines, I had put that follow-up piece on a back burner, but
because of Araldica's threats, I will be getting to it sooner than
I planned."
