Bald Man,
All you guys on this thread owe me; since I sold half of my Atmel to buy some VLSI, I have managed to turn
Atmel around and it is now $1.25 higher than when I sold it. As for VLSI it is stuck around $9 the price I paid
for it. Looking at these numbers VLSI looks like at least as good a value as Atmel. Am I missing something?

------------------- Atmel ------ VLSI
Current Price ------ 7.75 ------ 8.81
P/E ----------------- NE ------ 7.3
Book Value --------- 6.84 ----- 12.08
Price/Book --------- .99 ------ .65
Price/Sales --------- .65 ------ .64
Price/Cash Flow ---- 6.9 ------ 2.5
EPS ----------------(.90) ----- 1.23
This Quarter Est. ---- .04 ----- .13
This Year Est. ------ .34 ------ .50
Debt/Equity -------- 1.10 ------ .31
Numer of shares --- 99.2M ---- 46.5M
Cash --------------- 117M ---- 181M
Cash/Per Share ----- 1.18 ----- 3.89
Long Term Debt ---- 749M --- 172M

P.S. Not selling any more Atmel; waiting for bankrupcy.
Congradulations on your Netscape purchase looks like your luck is changing.

Looking at this post, they only have 3.89 cash/share. Why do people keep saying $7.00/share ?
