Any worthwhile discussion of the PC industry would have to include some mention of the iMac. I'm surprised no one has heretofore brought it up.

Here's an article that's interesting though meandering without focus in some parts:

As far as the iMac goes, it's yet too early to say whether its initial warm reception is a "Blade"-like result of heavy hyping and media exposure, or whether there is enough intrinsic merit to the product to warrant "Titanic"-like sales longevity.

I'm curious to see if any of you have anecdotes to relate about personal or secondhand experience with the iMac. I personally have had next to zero contact, nor do I know anyone who has bought or plans to acquire it.

If everyone else's experience is similiar then we can draw conclusions from that as well.

Personally, I think it's ugly. <g>
