joe, I think the reasons for upgrading are: 1) Modem standards in place in 1Q98. 2) Price competition brought prices down considerably to generate sales. 3) Marketing $$$'s spent after standards adoption. 4) ISP's began upgrading and in turn consumers began upgrading. BTW, I was conservative w/ 20k and we sold about 5k to a Turkish man who came over from Turkey and we shipped them back to Turkey for him. We had never sold outside of this country before, so again, another interesting trend, international sales of modems probably ramping up nicely as well. Matt
