In re: "Just got back from my Greyhound trip to Mount St. Helens." Alan, a hearty welcome back. Though Mount St. Helens remains relatively quiescent, the recent seismic disturbances notwithstand- ing, intense volcanic activity is in evidence here and elsewhere, metaphorically, as you can plainly see. Suffice it to say, your humor and insights have been conspicuously absent during these "interesting" and iconoclastic times. As an aside, my hat's off to you for the good and important work accomplished on your trip.
