A big reason for the high P/E for CPQ isn't because the price is so high but rather because the earnings are so low because of the merger with DEC. I think another valuation model should be used.

herm,
another question.
this post was an answer of a question(8469), being didn't the
technical analysis that the w.i.n.s. system utilizes (BB & RSI)
indicate a rise in price. you said no, with an explanation based purely on fundamentals. in a later post, you expressed that you might buy some cheap puts on cpq.
i'm just starting to follow your system, but from what i've seen so far, you use fundamentals to confirm your technical analysis. when there is a conflict between them, wouldn't it be better to stand aside until one confirmed the other. or just find a different stock for a while?

thanks,
bill
