Considering the stock price I vote they go through mid-October and gamble on the accrual they have at that time. I'm skeptical that that 60 or so more days will make or break us unless there is epidemic(I sure hope not) in trial areas. Once again I would not be even hinting at this if for not our penny stock status. You all realize how stinky it is to be in a penny stock? Don't get me wrong, I love buying at these prices but so many more nasty things can happen when you have penny stock status. Only my opinions. Don't we have anyone that is tuned in that knows their way around European approval process? If there is, speak up!

>>> I'm not sure why management would need to feel "safe" from the dark shadows. Explain, please? <<<

Let me see if I get this straight.

Some individual investors are registered directly with the company. Xoma already knows everything they asked in the survey about these people.

Other individual investors are hidden from Xoma behind a middleman. Xoma management authorizes a survey to find out what's behind that curtain. I must assume that management has a good reason for spending company assets on such a survey. What that reason is? I can only guess.

Management could be afraid of something. They could have authorized this survey to either allay that fear, or launch a pre-emptive strike.

Or, management could see the recent demise of the stock price and the potential continued bargain basement prices until year end (due to tax loss selling) as a once in a lifetime opportunity. That is, an opportunity to buy back company shares from the market.

Based on previous actions of the company, I believe they are optimistic about the outcome of the meningo trial. If they truly believe this, then I can imagine them drafting the documentation right now to put to a shareholder vote an authorization to expend a certain amount of company funds to buy back company stock on the open market at these currently ridiculously low prices.

Again, this is just an opinion. I'm just guessing.
