I was reading a discussion today between two analysts at the CNN website. It centered around whether this correction is a "V" type, ala fall 97, or a "W" type. Technicians have this thing (superstition?) about double bottoms, etc. As for me, I could give a rats ass whether it's a V or W, as long as it doesn't turn into an "L".

It means someone is actually getting paid to think up reasons why millions of investors are buying and selling their holdings! IMO there are just as many reasons to buy and sell as their are investors but someone has to make a living out of drawing up the conclusions for us.
