I know what you mean about the market. I took out some Rydex ursa as a hedge. It did *great* on Monday, but then gave back a disproportionate share of it yesterday.
I am viscerally convinced that mktwise, we ain't seen nothing yet. I have a coupla distressed longs (been that way for almost two years now) which I'll just have to bear stoically until things get better in, say, ten years.
A lot of guys at work are suddenly worried about their hundreds of thousands in their Fidelity 401(k) accounts. This exodus is probably going on nationwide as a growing number of Boomers realize that they need capital preservation *much* more than growth right now. Keep an eye on the long bond.
I threw away the remote for the CD player and the videocamera. We have just the two (TV and VCR). Fortunately they're shaped quite different. Spouse has a VCR in her room - she's always misplacing it. I am not even remotely sympathetic.
Dang. Where are my keys?
