First, I think DELL can grow faster than the market.. I don't think I said they could'nt. I merely aired my doubts that they can continue at the past pace. 50% revenue gain on 5B is $2.5B in incremental revenue, however it's $5B on $10B revenue. That's huge dollar revenue generation in a market that is not really growing all that fast. So, again I don't disagree that DELL will grow faster than the market - but how fast?

Market size.. you appear to be suggesting that DELL is single handedly expanding the market. Do I understand you correctly here?

As for competition. You seem to believe the only way a competitor will succeed against DELL is to replicate their model...which I too have suggested. However, I also suggested that there may be ways to compete which you and I haven't thought of. THis is what makes companies succeed - innovation. It's what has put DELL on the map. I have good faith that companies will do everything they can to defend their market. They've done a poor job up to now and are now feeling it. It's either fight or die for some of them. I think this will make DELL's life more difficult. Kind of like backing a wild animal into a corner.
