It was quite interesting reading through the last 50 or so posts. I'm one of the few that thought today's news was actually GOOD. Addi stated quite eloquently that The Street does not like an unknown. It is obvious from the recent stock price vs. the fundamentals that people were already pricing in a worst case scenario of a small to moderate loss for the quarter and only about a break even for the year. A 5% to 10% decrease in revenues has to be about the best we could have hoped for compared to others who have warned. I think this number is quite positive - especially coming this late in the quarter. I think a few of those who warned early will have to warn again. You WILL see the stock go lower in the morning as short-sighted fools are parted from their money. What else do the shorts have to look forward to? There will be short-covering in earnest. I strongly believe the company will be in the market, also, fulfilling repurchase authorizations to accommodate future ESOPs (Employee Stock Option Plans). I also look for some value-oriented funds to initiate or increase positions in VLSI in the near future. I'll be averaging down at about 9:43 in the morning. The early morning low will be of historic proportions not matched again until the great semi crash of 2086 when alien technology renders all earthly creations obsolete. To the shorts... better cover early. When this stock moves up or down - it moves FAST. To the longs... don't be too easy on the shorts by giving them shares to cover with.
