For the sake of argument, let's say that Microsoft really did "kick DRI out" of Vobis. Would the tactics used to do so be legal for a small company with no monopoly?

I'm no expert, but I think so. Right? Microsoft was a relatively small company with no monopoly in 1990. So why would their hardball tactics in 1990 be under anticompetitive/antitrust scrutiny?
