Calendar.

- Advertising/PR begins mid-September. I expect this to
start modest and really cook come November.

- Speculation. 1st carrier sign up and second NOC announcement.
I expect this will happen by Nov 1. (Why? Because this is
what my ouiji board told me).

I'm continuing to try to bottom fish in the 4's. Obviously
if they get the carrier we won't be seeing $4 again, but my
bet is the market bear will be the dominant factor until then.
Until then, defensive (97%) posture.

Ray, I'm being lazy, but there are several rounds of convertible shares as well as warrants that can be exercised. I don't know what, if any, of these converts or warrants have been exercised yet. The bulk of converts were issued in the last round of financing, but these early shares are also to be watched. Microsoft is a holder of early converts.

It's all explained here sec.yahoo.com There is a lot to read, and I highly recommend it. It's a bit late now, but a clever person could see some schedules to when these shares could be forced to convert. Many of the shares may go for years before they convert.

If we do get a signal that shares are converting, that would be a great buy signal and a lot of relief that possible share manipulation will have ended. Short interest will always be an issue, but these converts have an angle which really make me nervous.

I also watch the level of open interest for put and call options. When they get very high, there is a pain level that "they" won't accept. Shares will rise and fall to serve their purpose. November has some high interest in the 10 and 12 1/2 call options. One could conclude closes in Nov probably won't go over 12 1/2. There are also a large number of Nov 10 puts. That would pressure the price to be at or above 10. Well, the actual number of options at this point don't seem to be all that great, so I wouldn't act on this yet.

Did anyone happen to notice if open interest for Feb options have declined now that the price is down? It seems like I saw much higher numbers a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, I don't have a record of the change. Maybe someone else can add something?

Good Night,

Mark

Ray-
Only one problem with your calendar.. the MCI announcement. MCI already has a Unified messaging product= NetworkMCI contact. They sell it via NetworkMCI, but it is still a MCI product and is sold through existing MCI sales channels. I cannot see that MCI would develop their own product and then sign on to resell someone elses? Contact has most of the functionality of Portico, sans the VUI. They even have pre-recorded media content, news, stock quotes etc. Board members often act for their own personal interests not their corporate ones. I don't think MCI will officially affiliate with Portico.

BTW: I have tried contact as well as each of the other 9 Portico competitors, and still think Portico is the best!!
