I really cant comment on the reliability of unix vs. NT, I do know however that virtually ALL of Oracle growth is coming from the NT platform at this point, and all of the ERP vendors have sql server ports in the works. It doesnt matter if Sun builds a better unix box if Sap designates sql server as their preferred port (which they plan to do). The fact that I think Dell will win against Cpq and Sun is simply because I believe they can build an NT/Sql server box cheaper. If you believe that unix/Oracle has a chance against NT/Sql Server, then I guess we'll have to agree to disagree - its a whole different argument.
