Dick, I have had the problem you mentioned at various times in the past (back in May and early June), but I haven't had it this week, and I wonder if it could be related to performance of one's particular ISP. Maybe some experience more difficulties than others, and maybe this changes from time to time, relating to backbone being used, etc. However, I would have expected your cable modem to provide you exceptionally good service. Maybe it will comfort you some, though, to know that I have had the problem you mention and do not seem to be having it anymore. Hopefully, you will get better performance again soon. Perhaps you might want to reduce the number of stock boxes and charts you are using, as I understand these require a lot of data. I did just that and have had pretty good results. For example, yesterday, my stock boxes seemed to fill in about 3-4 seconds using ISDN. I believe you are absolutely correct, though, in your comment about the internet never being able to be perfect for trading. That is why I am getting ready to try Cyber's private network or a dedicated frame connection if necessary. Good to know those options are available. Good luck, Bill
