BaH: Good point but Dell's primary focus as you know is on the business segment of the market,initially focusing on multinational customers and they got plenty of those.Don't read much into IBM losing out to Legend et al as they have also given up market share here at home and in Europe so that is not saying much at all. Thanks for your input.

Here's a thought: If Dell has to compete in this market, is it going to develop a sub $1000 that could be brought back to the states/built here? Work out the kinks in China, enter the sub $1000 market late? Nah, sounds too far-fetched.
