Yes, in my opinion the main mistake Greenspan made was not to raise interest rates aggressively early last year in order to prevent the present bubble from ever developing. He always hoped that he would be able to walk the tightrope and be the big hero (he almost managed it, but not quite).


Greenspan's salary is probably not much more than a tenth of what Abby Cohen gets


I think that you are mistaken on this count. With all the options/other benefits she undoubtedly gets, it is probably less than 1 % (or even much less).

have to agree with you here. i thought the prior 1/4 percent drop was a blunder

but who really knows...
