They HAVE been getting away with it, RH. I just keep remembering the WSJ expose done a few years back when Greenspan convinced Bush's Treas Secy (fergit his name at zee momento) to sell Ft Knox gold to China to hide how large the trade deficit w/China was getting. Oh yeah, we're selling gold down here. Besides, where in the world do you think the gold is coming from that our West Point mint is using to create all those juicy little American Eagle coins flying out their front doors? Ayup... O/49r
