From the Yahoo board re: Charlie Rose................................
It wasn't stated(that I saw), but the interview seemed to be from June/July as E.P. stated that Compaq
had just completed the RoadRunner agreement. Roadrunner is
a high speed access cable system.
1. He was very high on the internet and sees great
potential.
2. Continue to work with Microsoft to insure compatibility
as well as discussions on the future.
3. He sees UNIX and Java (although he seemed more reserved)
as competing OS over the next 10 years.
4. Sees voice technology as the next big thing.

Not real informative as far as Compaq specifics and as
usual, E.P. very low key.

Loki - I am sure you have noticed articles like this:

scmp.com

about Malaysia. It seems Malaysia is trying to control currency redemption. The Malaysian market is up but Singapore and others are damn near going to economic war with them.

Question: what's your read on this? Any chance it will make their currency something that can not be converted and prevent "business as usual" in Malaysia. More important, will their method spread to neighbors.
