relative to O'Riley's (IBD) investment philosophy, companies with low current institutional ownership with strong earnings growth will continue to show significant appreciation in price. As of July funds owned only 19% of Dell's stock, Banks owned only 12%. Management owned 18%. O'Riley's theory would propose that on any downturn institutions should be further adding to their position in Dell given Dell's current market leadership position. there's much room for growth of ownership on the institutional side.

Compare Dell's institutional ownership to Compaq's, or for that matter, any other S&P stock. Dell is yet relatively undiscovered.
