The reasons for Tuesday are easy. The Monday crash of MSFT of over $9 was too much for a cult-stock like MSFT to drop to break the resistance of the MSFT followers to take it as a bargain. But even Tuesday rebound was not a great as its decline the previous day. Also, todays trading is further reality coming into the market.

I still hold onto my belief that Wall Street (which is really a population of world-wide investors and not a precious few big-wigs) does not seriously look at a stock in the long-term. Most make their daily trading decisions based on short-term activities and/or historical patterns. Both of these factors do not take into account the true impact that the DOJ court case will have on MSFT stock until it slaps the Wall-Street investor in the face.

There are too many investors out there that are saying to themselves "MSFT is too powerful to let these issues affect them - bad things could never happen to MSFT". These investors dont learn from history because these are the same thoughts that the IBM investors of the late 70's were saying to themselves.

I guess we will see. BTW - I would be surprised to see MSFT stock go as low as $40, but depending on the impact of many of these incriminating stories being dragged out from these court cases, who knows.

PS - I would like to know where all the ppl on here that were predicting MSFT's stock above $130 and splitting shortly have gone to. I believe one person was Freddy but I havent seen him in a while. He stated that one person who predicted MSFT around $110 was an idiot. Who was the big idiot afterall?
