Diogeron: I* vs Loral vs G*

Given Loral's painful fall to its current levels (not that I* isnt pretty painful here as well) I would think there is less downside potential with Loral. Loral has suffered through months of bad press - Chinagate, Orion (Delta III) failure, ect. Loral's 40% stake in Globalstar makes it dicey before the Zenit launch, (Sept 9th 430 pm EST) but if you are a gambler, buy Loral before Sept 9th.

If you are a big gambler buy G* before the launch. They have been hammered lately and if the launch does not go well they will be hit further. I think the Zenit will go well. The dispenser to put out 12 sats is suspect, but there have been 2 other Zenit launches this summer and they went well.

As far as I* goes, they have a Delta to get off this Friday before they can get serious about service start later this month. IMO the start date is too close and system testing is not far enough along to get in just yet. Save your money and get in after Sept 23rd, the situation should be clearer by then.

I am pulling for I* and G*. The market is not smart enough to realize that the money has been spent. These systems will be deployed. Second generation constellations may not be put up if the firsts are not profitable but these systems will be put up.

Good Luck

I would vote for LOR as safer than G*. As for I*, here's a fully equipped system about to go into operation. Some would consider that prospect safest of all, 'cause it's built. I waffle there, but public confidence in "first to market" could support the stock. I like LOR, myself, for relative safety.
