Nemer- it is just to have a maximum profit even if you have a 50 point move in your favor-- four times multiplier gives you liquidity in your account which you can take advantage off- in times of slows downs someone like me who is fullly invested and leveraged I need a lot of liquidity to buy more on dips- the disproportionate amount of put buying pay for my stubborness not to short until I break my resistances-- this helps me two ways one I am rarely wrong on a trade-- my track record on avoiding whip saws is very good second. I get the maximum buck becasue my levels are so generous when they break on down side they give me that big profit from the huge number of puts I buy- so I need that strategy but if someone is not playing long only becasue he can get in cheap I would tell him- buy 850 Dec contracts and relax- I downdraft will give the gentleman imense profit- why to wait for that level-- like bulls we place a trade on long side in anticipation of that big move why not shorts place that trade in anticpation of that big move down- the returns are phenomenol..
