Nokia has a history with CDMA.

It seems to be moving toward WCDMA? LU has not exactly jumped in with CDMA either. I'm having a hard time believing that QC will sue LU, or, that LU, having it's experts, would get it self into a situation to be sued.
The resolution, although not all bad, is no ringing endorsement for CDMA.

Are there any patent lawyers on this thread?

Can Nokia, Ericsson, et. al. get away with ripping off QualComm's IPRs? I know that lawsuits will ensue, but those can take years to resolve.

Thanks.

Something like this happened in radio and television. I believe RCA ripped off an inventor of radio technology. Sorry I don't have more details.
