Ed,

Your right. Hopefully some sort of settlement will be forthcoming.
It would be nice to see some of those lofty numbers, but I,m getting to the point where double digits will be hard for me to pass up.

By the way, my average per share cost is much less than $1.75. However, the last block I bought about 4 to 5 weeks ago and I thought it would hold around $2.00. Maybe that's why I'm not rich!!!

Ed,

One thing that lurks in the background regarding the leases is the term of the lease. Originally I believe Coastal had the right to explore the leases for a term of 40 years (expired in the 80's). Any discoveries of oil, gas or minerals could be commercialized until exhausted. I have lost track of this issue. Logically you would expect that everything would be put on hold until all the litigation is completed but I do not know this for a fact. I can see a Florida judge ruling that the leases have expired, the litigation being merely another business risk of holding the leases. This would kick off another 5-10 years of appeals etc.

Do you have any reading on this?

Thanks
