jhg,

Yeah, I know that a significant percentage of DELL's business comes from corporate, government, etc.. but they'll need the consumer market (I think) in order to continue their growth. If that market stops growing then DELL's overall target market gets smaller - perhaps get's ugly.

As for C-Phone..to be honest, I haven't heard of them. Do they have a web-sight, who are they contracting with... any significant wins? I'd expect companies like Sony, Samsung, Hitachi, Panasonic, etc. to begin delivering IP based home applicances using tight OS's from...well...I can't say who but there are a few that come to mind. GI, SA, and others will deliver similar technology on set-top boxes and a new breed of appliance which some are calling a "Residential Gateway". The PC becomes an applications device in all these scenarios - not a central figure in the game.

As for John, he's got a page on the Cisco web site. I'm not sure that'll give you much but you can pick up quite a bit on www.cisco.com regarding that companies view of the future.

And, finally, no...I didn't buy DELL. I probably should have got in for what I expect will be a nice pop, but I don't think I'm going to miss much. The market is looking toppy here for a while. I don't seem moving my money from a great company with what I think is solid long term ride to a company that has a great short term horizon. again..JMO.
