Depends on whether you talk nice to me, and on the quality of breakfast, and the weather, and my stocks, and stuff like that. Do you know of a good chart comparing gold and oil - there is a link to one posted way back upthread here, I'd like to post it on the PoO thread #Subject-22705

Also, gold/wheat, oil/hour of average wage, charts like that. It's more meaningful to compare one commodity with another, or with the cost of labour, than with one particular paper currency such as the US$, imho .. come on over ... cheers

O/49r...You sound like Dr Pat Smith with the Mountanyards(sp) ( an ethnic tribal group in Vietnam..the Mountain people who were caught between China and the Vietnamese)of Nam...during the Green Beret era in Viet Nam, early 60's....Her comment was in reference to the fact that the Vietnamese did not need a French or US colonial influence...but needed a 'benevolent dictator'.... then the people would survive and come to prosper....they had been caught in a war of the others for decades... karen
