I've been short KO for a week or so, thankfully, but I can't explain the strength in JNJ.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks...Mark

Here's something......world leader to be (for the 2nd time) caters to the masses with home baked idea.....cake. (btw, they will print rubbles to do this per a previously published story).... Along with the markets....the quality of our leaders in the world truely appears to be in decline.......I find it incredibly strange....have we entered the reverse world of a superman comic I wonder....

Russia econ plan unique, to pay arrears this yr-PM

MOSCOW, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Russia must pay arrears owed to soldiers, pensioners and workers by the end of the year, Acting
Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin said on Friday.

Russian news agencies also quoted him as telling journalists after addressing the country's upper house of parliament that Russia
would not copy other countries' crisis plans, including that of Argentina.

Argentina successfully turned its economy round by introducing a currency board which requires every peso in circulation be covered
by a dollar of reserves.

''No model in the world is right for the Russian economy or will be right,'' Interfax news agency quoted Chernomyrdin as saying.

Chernomyrdin suggested covering roubles with gold and foreign exchange reserves earlier in the day in a speech to the Federation Council, but he also said a number of
social obligations had to be met.

''I laid out the strategy for a programme today -- to start paying immediately penions, wages and military pay, and to liquidate the arrears before the new year,'' he told
reporters.
