I know that Gore used the Horton issue during the NY primary and I believe that included TV.

Bush's ad did NOT show a picture of Willie Horton.

but it was Bush who ran the sleazy but effective ad that with the picture of Horton and the revolving door.

Believe it was Floyd Brown, a Republican operative out of Seattle who picked up the Horton ad and ran with it. The partisan snivelling about that ad has always struck me as silly, at best. Horton was a vicious criminal that a failing justice system let loose to commit another atrocious act. The TV ad was accurate.

I let you get away with that fast one last night. Bush's campaign had nothing to do with that ad. That revolving door ad was done by an independent group but the media let the Dukakis campaign get away with the false charge that Bush's people were involved.

Btw, I understand that Dukakis is pretty much reviled in Mass, even among Dems.

Btw2, I was/am no fan of Bush.
