You are full of bs. You cannot live on one salary out here and give 2 kids a decent quality of life. The schools are awful except in the most expensive areas such as Palo Alto where an avg house costs 700K. You absolutely have to send kids to private schools. Even in the less expensive areas youre looking at 400K for a house and the roads are so congested theres no way to commute. That is life in N.Ca, now the reason people live here is they hope to get rich on stock options but while waiting for that possibility you have got to live somehow. Family values blabberers should stay out of N Ca. MH BTW the schools in Ca used to be decent but in 1978 a tax cut initiative passed that severly cut all property taxes for anybody that already owned a house, and schools were hit badly. Of course this has resulted in blatant age discrimination as far as taxes in Ca and now we have the worst schools in the country.
