Halfscott,

Best way to reduce emmissions is to buy a machine from a real vendor who sells FCC Class B Certified equipment. Almost 0% local builders are close to being FCC Class B compliant and certainly not certified. Almost no home built machines will be either. Among that group emmissions will vary widely. Not much you can do on your own. Getting EMI is right is hard enough with very expensive equipment and test chambers. nearly impossible to do at home.

Question to all re: Direct X. I've downloaded Direct X ver. 6.0 but noticed the Direct X Media 6.0 SDK and its enhancements and downloaded all three large files. I'm reluctant to install this version because I don't know if it will cause any problems with my existing Direct X functions with my programs. In other words, if they provide a small Direct X 6.0 file for us to use then is there any advantage to installing the Media SDK version. It seems to be a more powerful version of Direct X with more functionality built into the program. It also provides Optional Direct X Transforms that have to be installed separately.

Bottom Line: Will I see any appreciable performance advantage to installing the SDK version of Direct X? Same with Transforms?

Appreciate any and all answers.
