Carl could very well be, you might have morning strength and then a decline toward the close. I have noticed that in bear moves, the first half hour is strong and the last half hour is weak while in bull moves, often it is reversed. This is a statistical observation, namely this phenomenon occur more than 60% of the time, but of course cannot be relied on for "day-trading".
