InternetJet

It downloads up to 10 mbps over a dish they install.
I bet its microwave as well. I experienced the speed of it
at CompUSA and Computer City where they had it installed. The
techs at those stores swore by it.

Uploading is done via a regular modem at 33 kbps.

I looked at @home which will be in my area in a few months.
Their download is only 1.5 mbps. Most of what I do is
download stock data and rarely do much uploading.
InternetJet seemed the best way to go for downloading speeds.

ADSL is too expensive in my area.

My networking is running great,btw.

Regards,
S.W.

May I stick my nose in here!

>> Ru sure its satellite and not microwave. I was unaware that you could broadcat back to a satellite a high speeds with inexpensive connections....<<

It is a wireless connection. I suspect S W made a small mistake when he said satellite. See home.interjetnet.net for more details.

>>Sounds like the need a bigger pipe. 1 T3 45Mbps doesn't seem like a good ratio if you 10K subscribes each running 10Mbps.<<

Not sure where 10K users came from. S W has consistently said he would have 3 users sharing his InterJet connection.
