To make sure Ali loses more money when AMD loses more money.

Even you should have been able to figure that out.

This is true.

But it is also true that AMD throws away A LOT MORE TRANSISTORS ON SILICON than Intel does - that's why AMD is LOSING MONEY 5 quarters in a row (I'm including the current one).
