One of the great disasters of American public life is that the eminent logic of conservatism is so inextricably linked to the grotesque illogic of fundamentalist Christianity. It's always been a Republican dilemma. They want the support of the zealots, but the moment they let the zealots into the platform the American people - who, thank God, know better - dump them and run to the other side. We lose some good ideas that way.

Precisly my point....

Good ideas thrown away, the danger they are running is that the moderate ones, do not understand the great risk they are running:

1. If the public all of a sudden is swayed to the extreme right ( a growing concern of mine), they are surrendering basic principles of the original concept of freedom and separation of church and state that was founded with this country..... or,

2. If they do not stand up for what they truly believe, then the great majority will go back to elect a Democratic (!) controlled Congress..... then all it has been gained in fiscal responsibility will be gone to hell in a hand basket.

Certainly the zealots do not care, they never stop at measuring such "small details", as they possess no reason, no logic.

That is why, "EEK (Evil Emile Knievel), and the Compadres of the Absurd", must be exposed for their real intents, and their gnarled logic, true Knights of Darkness.

I guess that there has been an advantage (if you can call it that way), the split power of Congress being Republican and the Presidency being Democrat.

Oh well.....it is night night for me.....
