I know that MER has little exposure to Russia ... or so I thought. Perhaps it has more exposure to Asia or Latin America? All the brokers and banks are taking a beating, most are undeserved. I am sure that when these things bottom, there will be one heck of a bounce. Good luck. My TRV is getting killed because of Citicorp ... not to mention BAC. I was going to buy BT when it hit 68 ... glad I didn't. They have big exposure to Russia and I can only guess at their other exposure to Latin America and Asia. This may bounce next week, and then drop again when South America drops the other shoe.
