**OT**

Glad to hear you dodged Earl, too. I would imagine New Orleans is a a real mess when it gets hit. I remember a few years ago when you got hit there, reading about floating "caskets" that had to be retrieved. With them being stacked above ground, I imagine this could happen each and every time. And if I recall, some were never recovered.

Earl was headed right for you and then had a very abrupt change in course, and headed straight for the Panama City Florida area. I need to call my inlaws and see how they weathered the storm. As I said, it missed me by about 20-30 miles. I've heard of 3 storm related deaths so far, not much on the path of destruction though. Fortunately we were on the west side of the storm, so we didn't suffer with tornadoes either. Hope others out there faired as well as we did.

****EDII SHAREHOLDERS***this is in regards to the dividend....

After further checking, I think I better understand what is going to happen with the dividend that EDII declared. A stock goes "ex-dividend" one a declared date (for us this was August 30th),, but the dividend is payable at a later date. This should hold true if it's a money dividend or in extra stock to the shareholder. Part of the reason for the splitting of dates is that when the stock goes "ex-dividend", it is for the shareholders of record that day; then, afterwards, the dividends will be prepared and issued. Often times, with larger companies, as much as a month can laps between the two events. In the EDII press release, it gave the "ex-dividend" date, but not the "pay" date. EDII additionally will be issuing new certificates, which might prolong the "pay" off date. My guess is that they will be releasing a PR soon, explaining these details.

Hope this sheds some light, and if others have additional information to add, please feel free....hahahaha..as if some need my permission.
