How are smaller companies than AMD and Cyrix going to be able to make a "fortune" if the larger AMD and Cyrix CANT MAKE ANY MONEY NOW?

Because they're more nimble and aren't stupid enough to try to compete directly against Intel. For instance, who makes processors for printers? I don't think that Intel's concentrated on that market. Almost every computer sold to a home user has a printer. There's an opportunity. Of course, AMD's 290x0 chip was once concentrated toward that market but I think they blew it...
