While you are correct in saying that I could ignore his posts, I have to disagree with your characterization of my remarks as inviting conflict, and censorship. In fact, your suggestion that I refrain smacks of the same censorship you speak of. I guess I should have placed more <g>, since you somehow missed the (attempt at) humor with the 'dirty works' paragraph. And while you question my sense of right and wrong, and my requests for more professional behavior on his part, you also mention that you too think it better that he not do it, and buttress that by your own unwillingness to do the same. So it seems that we are really in agreement after all. You chide me with "...but it surely is not your place to tell others what to write or where to post it." Isn't that what you are doing throughout this post of yours?? Censorship is certainly not an issue here, Bill. Free exchange of ideas means that I, you, Phillip, and everyone else is completely free to post what they wish. Likewise, everyone is also free to post their opinions of said posts, which frankly, you exercise ad nauseum.<g> I too mentioned that I didn't have a problem with promotion of his company, just his choice of where and how. And also, his making promises that he doesn't keep. He surely will do what feels right in his own heart, no matter what I say. But, I AM free to post my opinion if certain things happen to push the few buttons I have. And, while I will have to check, I don't think I ever posted to him any "..antagonistic and confrontational remarks.." in the Cyber thread. I only remember posting the three or so messages in this thread when he had posted to this thread the types of posts we are discussing. I'm not sure which chatooms you speak of. If you speak of a Cyber room, and you see MBT employees there, do they hype MBT? Their mere presence is certainly benign, but if they hyped MBT while in a Cyber room, I would criticize them, too. Especially if it was Ross doing the hyping. IMHO, there just are certain standards that the owner, CEO, etc should maintain, at least in others' domains. Bill, I know you love the product, and are a strong supporter of him and his company, which is admirable in my eyes. But I would ask you to step back momentarily, and try to look at this as an uninterested observer. Would you still not think it all kind of tacky? Your own choice not to discuss Cyber on this thread suggests that you too feel this way. If not, then again, we agree to disagree, which is fine. But I also think we should move this to the private realm, as before, so as not to have the thread digress to this type of discussion. Do you agree? I'll follow your lead. Have a great trading day, and take care. Len EDIT... I also noticed Phillip just posted an email MBT sent to ITS customers, on the Cyber thread. I'd be interested in your opinion of that behavior. IMHO, I don't think MBT will be happy about a private message they sent only to THEIR customers being posted for the world to see on a competing company's thread. I'll save the harsher words I feel at this moment for private posts. Geeeeeeeezzzz.
