In addition to the stock, I own Jan 2001 LEAPS on ASA, so yea... I think the LEAPS look good. They're dirt cheap cause of the gold stock's low beta.

Good idea. I bought 20 ABX Jan 20 calls for 1/2 1st thing yesterday morning. They were 1/4 by 1/2. Went to 7/16 by 9/16 after my trade. This trade was made with some of my profits as a "long shot" play. I try to keep these to a minimum. I bought some ABX calls last month - no need to tell you they expired worthless.
