Bmart,

One thing I have learned over the past years of being an active online investor/researcher is that experience is the greatest teacher.

I have also learned that, just when you think you have a pretty good handle on the ins and outs of the securities industry, you often wind being blindsided. I'm sure Bgtit has suddenly realized this as well.

We all want out investments to succeed. And like Bgtit, many of us have tried to become supporters and facilitators for those companies so that others understand and can analyze the beliefs we hold in our investments.

We all also realize that the only way our investments increase in value is to find others who share your belief and take on positions in the stock. And for confidence in our beliefs to be gained we all must be willing to debate and analyze both pro and con issues related to that investment.

However, oftentimes folks just get caught up in the enthusiasm, and find themselves in questionable positions relative to securities law. Bgtit has just discovered this and don't believe that he will suffer any ill consequences now that he has opted not to post about AZNT (he can obviously post about companies with which he has no compensatory relationship. He can even post about AZNT so long as he fully discloses the nature and amount of his consideration (to be careful).

It is not illegal to receive consideration for saying positive things about a particular stock. It is illegal not to disclose this consideration so that readers can properly assess the writers level of objectivity.

And you're right... I do seem to have a following.

I also know that each and everyone of these individuals who have claimed that I'm a criminal and am being sued for fraud and manipulation by the SEC, have read are exhibiting blatant disregard for the facts as alledged by the complaint.

In that complaint, the SEC clearly has stated that they are only seeking an injunction against me relative to section 17(b) (failure to disclose).

Nowhere in that complaint have I been accused of fraud, manipulation, or anything else; only 17(b).

To say otherwise is a deliberate and recklessly stated falsehood and clearly slanderous and defamatory.

It is also a violation of SI Terms of Service.

Were there no complaint filed, there comments would be an opinion based on circumstantial evidence. However, since the authorities have not accused me of fraud, there is no basis for anyone else stating such a falsehood given the publicly available complaint.

I want to talk about AZNT, not about any other stock on this thread.

I want to know how sound an investment vehicle it is, and what the possible pitfalls are. If others choose to discuss or defame me, all I can do is present the facts for others to analyze. However, I will not have my right to express my opinion stifled by false accusations and innuendoes.

Hopefully you agree that AZNT should be the issue here and will encourage others to stay on topic.

Ron
