Or, We retest today, it fails and we gap up Tuesday due to Rubin's meeting with Japan and Russian vote on Monday.

You forgot Greenspan speaking tonight. If the market has a late-afternoon break-down, he is unlikely to just stand by. And he certainly is capable of moving the market. There are still a lot of other things that can happen over the week-end though.

Why should anybody buy the close? Would seem like a perfectly irrational thing to do -- course I'm not an e-waver, but jsut doesn't seem prudent to me.
