Richard, if we're convinced of what we're doing, and we should be (because we're right) we should hope any "anti gold conspiracy" lasts as long as possible.

Nice work Richard! Very responsible of you to hold the press accountable for non-reporting. I suspected as much last evening, and today was a good test. Picked up today's N.Y. Times to sample test; no feature, not even a line item to the best of my knowledge. There is a lengthy feature about the 'Broad Plunge,' but not a peep about the gold rally. What is it the publication prides itself on?.."All the News That's Fit to Print"

I find myself very frustrated also..hope I can explain coherently why
A lot of us have complained about the monetary system..the fiat money..still don't think the press will cover that much..
If gold continues to rise, the explanation given will probably be because of world reinflation..no attention will be paid to what fiat money has done to a mind boggling number of hard working "drones"..
nor to pensioners who have suffered from their prudence or "folly" of staying in money markets etc..(guess they are not represented by any lobbyists)
I truly wish the news stations would interview professors who are probably way too cautious to invest in the market and who thus don't have material gains from their prognostications and analysis rather than wallstreet types who have their positions to protect..
Maybe I am once again overestimating the "hoi polloi"(sp) who vote in all these leaders...maybe the news stations are right and the average investor just doesn't care..
All I can think about is how so many South Asian averagevery hard working citizens have gotten royally screwed..so many people have suffered as a result of fiat money..
