It is microwave.
Here us the techie stuff to compare their downloads vs cable and isdn.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES (BACK TO TOP)

InterJetNet used world-class resources to develop its duplex (two-way) wireless system which couples microwave spectrum with wireless cable modem technology. The system includes all digital modems, direct T-1 connections to the largest Internet backbone provider (UUNET), and top quality equipment and software.

IJNT's system allows users to bypass the local phone company and receive immediate, reliable Internet service. IJNT users also receive all standard ISP services (unlimited access, free e-mail accounts, etc.), network applications, and sophisticated web site design and hosting.

The Company's business consultants help clients choose the service option which best fulfills their particular Internet needs. This ensures that clients receive the maximum return on their Internet investment.

Unparalleled Speed: Transmission of a 64 page edition of the Wall Street Journal takes IJNT's system less than 5 minutes versus 5 hours with an ISDN line and 28 hours with a standard modem.

As pointed out, I made an error thinking that because
they install a dish I just assumed satelite.

As far as exposure to receive
the feed, if you live in an area where they are located, they
come to your home first to determine the strength of the connection.
Its a 24" dish they install on your roof.

They have been installing the dishes on apartment complexes
and everyone there gets a 10 mbps connection over the same
dish.

I asked them if I needed a 10 mbps or 100 mbps network. They
said to go with the 10 because its cheaper and that the 100 would
not make the feed any faster over my three computers.

Sygate is wonderful! I'm doing the free trial version now
which gives 75 mb of data before it ends. Its a very small program
and it is totally invisible and extremely easy to get working.
Cost is only $49 which allows three computers plus the gateway
computer to have their own ISP numbers.

Regards,
S.W.

SW, do you know if you have to have a southwestern exposure to receive that feed? Curious, because I don't, and have thus been unable to use any satellite service.

Its not satellite but defintely a valid point for anyone considering Dish, Directv, DTN, BMI etc....

I wonder, if it is microwave, would that requirement be mitigated?

Microwave is very highly directional and generally requires line of site from their tower to your antenna.
