That's not what I'm saying. A poll which distills "likely voters" is all that matters. I can't find the link but the Dems know what I say is true:

Never mind the polls.

Every statement in the Clinton's "apology" speech had been poll-tested. Time and time again polls indicated the American people were sick and tired of the OIC inquiry, wanted a closure, hated Starr, believed that Clinton's sexual escapades in the Oval Office was his private business, yada, yada, yada.

Nonetheless, the speech was an unmitigated political disaster.
