Scumbria - Re: "Your belief that the competition is going to go away, is based on wishful thinking and fantasy. It isn't going to happen."

I have no misconception that competition is going away from Intel.

You, Scumbria, have a myopic view of how Intel has fared against the competition.

Your own investment disasters - betting on Cyrix/NSM, IDT and AMD to topple Intel - should prove to yourself that Intel is one smart company.

Instead, you cling to the belief that Cyrix and IDT and AMD - with mounting losses, quarter after quarter - are somehow going to leapfrog Intel in technology capability, manufacturing prowess, and marketing smartness.

Then you toss out names of new companies that have only leaked tidbits to a gullible medai press about "Intel Killer Chips" - and you expect these companies to go from zero to the speed of light and topple Intel - ignoring the fact that established companies - AMD, SGI, Cyrix, etc., have all tried and failed.

Remember Exponential Technology?
Remember IMES ?
Remember ULSI ?
Remember IIT?

Start remembering.

You made your bets, Scumbria.

You lost three times over.

Now you're just praying for a magic bullet to come out of the woodwork and nail Intel in its heart.

That, Scumbria, is just a misguided prayer.

Your losses, betting against Intel, have completely clouded your judgement (assuming you ever had any).
