Today's deflationary pressures have not been seen since 1929.
When the world can once again embrace the advantages of excess money to the extent that it causes inflation (ie when demand strengthens) interest rates will soar in an attempt to smother the inflation. Gold will also soar until the inflation is under control when both interest rates and gold will once again fall.
