Other than the patents and cash, they do have the investment in the Fab. Since these 3 things are worth more than the stock price, adding in a slightly faster but otherwise non-differentiated graphic chip is not such a bad deal. Plus, they are still the market leader in latops (where pricing pressures aren't as bad) and have about 25% of the desktop market even though ATI has passed them by. They could switch places very quickly. I remember when Hercules was THE graphics company when everyone had monochrome monitors.
